I was often asked by fans, "When will the CSM Delta Gear be released?" I was also asked by people not only in Japan, but also overseas through social media. I don't know the answer to that question (laughs), but I'm honestly happy that there are people who are looking forward to the commercialization of Delta Gear.
The transformation belts and weapons that appear in "555" were made very intricately even in the old products, and they emphasized the sense of reality that "Smart Brain actually manufactures transformation belts like this." The CSM version this time is even more realistic. It has a sense of mass that adults can pick up and play with, and a heavy atmosphere. I tried wearing it around my waist, and it felt heavy and more realistic.
It seems that it is designed to activate different ver. A.N.I.M.E. by reading not only "transformation" but also voice variations such as "fire" and "charge" just like in the drama. I think that toys have evolved a lot since the time when "555" was broadcast.
The only thing I can think of is that it's simply "cool!" I've always thought that the Delta Mover's blaster mode (gun form) and pointer mode with the barrel pulled out were great designs.
I like the scene in episode 40 where INUI TAKUMI (played by Kento Handa) transforms into Faiz and KUSAKA MASATO (played by Kohei Murakami) transform into Kaixa. In this episode, the three transform at the same time to face the Orphnochs, but it's not like the "Super Sentai Series" where they unite and say "Let's go!". The three have different goals and ideas, but they just happen to have the same vector to face the crisis in front of them... Even now, I think it's a very cool scene.
I'm happy. In 2016, I voiced Kamen Rider Delta in the Nintendo 3DS game "All Kamen Rider Rider Revolution," but this time I was able to record many more lines, so I think the fans will enjoy it. Due to time constraints, I wasn't able to meet Rei at the recording site, but I'm looking forward to hearing what lines he put in (laughs).
There were no special difficulties.
I watched several episodes of the video to get an idea of what it was like back then, and I actually recorded the lines while listening to them. I knew that people who bought this product would listen to it many times, so I had to record it with emotion, but I also wanted to do it without feeling pressured.
As a result, rather than struggling, I had a great time.
First of all, "I'll give it a try. I don't know what I can do" (episode 35). Fans say that too, and it's my favorite line from Mihara. I have such a strong attachment to this line that I wasn't happy with the first one we recorded today, so I had it re-recorded after everything was finished. It's great that it really conveys the feeling that Mihara, who has always run away, has now "determined" to fight the Orphnochs. If this is number one, then number two is from the final episode (episode 50), "In the end, I think what's scary isn't the power of the Orphnochs, but the weakness of humans who become drowning in their power."
I think that's what the screenwriter Toshiki Inoue, who wrote all the episodes of "555", wanted to say, and it's a very memorable phrase. This shooting took place in the early morning when it was extremely cold, and I couldn't speak well because of the cold, so the cameraman Matsumura (Fumio) got angry at me and said, "Harada, get serious!" (laughs). I still remember clearly how I felt that I had to say it properly because it was an important line.
The third line is "Hey, can I go home now? It's time for my part-time job" (Episode 33), which is a line that only Mihara could say. Mari (played by Yuria Haga) is wandering between life and death, and her friends from Ryuseijuku are watching over her, so if you don't know what he's saying, you'll probably think "What?" The first thing Mihara says is "I'm going home." No other Kamen Rider would ever say that (laughs). When I received the offer to appear, I wanted Mihara to "play a human Kamen Rider." The reason he initially refuses to fight comes from the idea that if a normal young man were to encounter a monster like Orphnoch, he would never want to fight.
Number four is "Tell me, are you an ally or enemy? Are you a human or an Orphnoch?" (Episode 38). This line is spoken to Takumi INUI TAKUMI, and it's one that only Mihara could say, so it's stuck in my mind. Another line I like is Mihara's monologue when he tells Rina (played by Rie Kawanishi) about Kusaka's death: "Kusaka... live inside me. Give me your strength...!" (Episode 49). Make this number five.
Thanks to your enthusiastic requests, the "CSM Delta Gear" has been commercialized. Thank you! If you have the space in your room, we'd love to display it alongside the "DX Delta Driver" and Kamen Rider Delta figures that were released a long time ago. Also, it would be fun if everyone could take advantage of the product's unique "voice recognition function" and upload "transformation" videos. It would be great if you could take photos of the cool blaster mode poses and upload them to social media. Once you get your hands on the product, please have lots of fun playing with it!

This time, the long-awaited Delta Gear is going to be released, and I'm really happy to be able to meet it again after such a long time. I'm looking forward to transforming at home as many times as I can.
It had been 15 to 16 years since I last recorded Kitazaki's voice, and I was surprised to hear his voice from back then, having now had so many experiences, and to realize that he was such a scary person. I really wanted to play a role like this again, and wondered what would happen if I did it again now.
