S.H.Figuarts　Masked Rider Nadeshiko

The first high school girl rider in Rider history, Kamen Rider Nadeshiko, who appeared in "Kamen Rider x Kamen Rider Fourze & OOOZ MOVIE WAR MEGA MAX" and attracted fans' attention with her cuteness before and after her transformation, became S.H.Figuarts,Currently accepting orders at Tamashii web shopTo commemorate the event, we interviewed Ms. Erina Mano who played the role of Masked Rider Nadeshiko/MISAKI Nadeko.
To commemorate this event, we interviewed Ms. Erina Mano, who plays the role of Masked Rider Nadeshiko/MISAKI Nadeko. She says she loves figurines and toy items, so let's talk to her about her work and about S.H.Figuarts MASKED RIDER NADESHIKO!　And what's more, Ms. Mano decided to design the pedestal that comes with S.H.Figuarts Kamen Rider Nadeshiko!

■ Kamen Rider Nadeshiko received a great response from those around me

--It's been quite a while since filming began for "Kamen Rider x Kamen Rider Fourze & OOO: MOVIE War MEGA MAX." ManoWe filmed in September last year, so it's been almost half a year. It's gone by so quickly! I miss everyone in the Kamen Rider Club. I record "KAMEN RIDER FOURZE" every week, and when I can, I try to watch it in real time. If I can't, I watch it as soon as I get home (laughs). --Even though you only appeared in movies, Nadeshiko is still very popular. ManoThank you! Even though I've only appeared in the movie, the response has been great, and at hand-shaking events, many fans have said, "I want you to appear on TV as well, not just in movies." Also, many people I meet for work have said, "I saw it!"... The most surprising thing was that the other day, when we were filming "Hello! Project TIME!" (a program featuring Hello! Project members that airs on TV Tokyo from 1:00 am on Thursdays), a foreigner called out to me, "Are you Nadeshiko?" I was so happy!

--That's great!

ManoI was surprised to see that Kamen Rider is a worldwide phenomenon. My father was also happy that many of his coworkers at the company told him they had seen the movie. He's from MASKED RIDER 1 generation! So he was happy when it was decided that I would be appearing in the movie, and I think it was a great way to show my dear son. Also, I'm really glad that I was able to play Kamen Rider Nadeshiko, as people who didn't know me before were able to get to know me!
I want to watch it again soon, and can't wait for the software to be released in May!!

--As the fans have said, we would love to see the Nadeshiko appear on TV too!

ManoI want him to appear! Ryusei, who transforms into Meteor, is from the same school as Nadeko.
That's why I would love to appear on TV too!

■Mano-san and S.H.Figuarts Kamen Rider Nadeshiko meet!

-- Such a popular Kamen Rider Nadeshiko will be S.H.Figuarts!

ManoI'm really happy! Since Nadeshiko was only a movie rider, I thought there would be no figures or anything like that.

--We are currently accepting orders, and this is a sample (he hands the sample to Mano).

ManoWow! Amazing! It's really detailed...the eyes have a pattern on them, and the belt is a separate part! She has heels and a girly figure. Cute.

--If you got this, how would you like people to play it?

ManoI want to see her next to Fourze! I would definitely line her up with Fourze too. Nadeshiko has a girly figure, and I think that stands out when she's next to Fourze.

--Mano-san, what pose would you start with?

ManoFirst, I'll make them pose as if to say, "Space has come!!" and take a photo of them (laughs). I'm sure on their days off, I'll make them pose in all sorts of different ways and take photos of them (laughs).

■Erina Mano decided on the design of the included pedestal!

--S.H.Figuarts Kamen Rider Nadeshiko comes with a pedestal on which the figure stands, and I will let Mano-san decide on the design of that board!

ManoIt was exciting just to have it turned into a figure, but to be allowed to choose the design as well...it's a huge responsibility.

--There are more than 10 design candidates, which one are you interested in?

ManoThis is so cute... (picking up the heart pattern design).

DeveloperI don't usually make pedestals with that kind of design, so I'm happy to hear you say that!

ManoI definitely want a cute design. But (picking up another design), I also like this Nadeshiko silhouette. Is it possible to combine designs? DeveloperIt's totally fine! ManoSo, I want to combine this design with this silhouette! The pose of this silhouette was decided in consultation with Sanae Hitomi (the suit actor of Kamen Rider Nadeshiko belonging to Japan Action Enterprise) during the shoot. We discussed making it look a little mysterious.

--I see! It's a memorable pose from Mano-san's photo shoot. ManoThat's right! It's a nostalgic pose that reminds me of the time of the photo shoot. --So, let's combine these two designs! Developergot it!

It turned out just as Mano hoped, it's cute and filled with her feelings for Nadeshiko!

■Also keep an eye on singer Mano Erina in the first half of 2012!

--Mano-san is not only an actress, but also a singer as a member of Hello! Project.

ManoMy 11th single "Doki Doki Baby/Tasogare Kousaten" was just released in February, and my third album "More Friends Over" will be released on March 28th. I'll also be having a live tour in June, so I hope everyone who got to know me from Kamen Rider Nadeshiko will also get to see me as a singer!

--The first half of 2012 will be filled with attention to your activities as a singer! ManoYes! As an actress, I am also appearing in the film "My Mother's Chronicle" which will be released on April 28th, so please look out for that too! -Finally, please give a message to everyone! ManoI'm really happy that the character I played, Kamen Rider Nadeshiko, is becoming a product, and I feel really happy all over again. Usually, the characters you play don't leave anything tangible behind. So I'm happy that it's become a figurine like this and can be placed in people's homes. So I want as many people as possible to have Nadeshiko in their homes! I also think that Kamen Rider is amazing. I'm also happy to have been able to take part in that long history as Kamen Rider! I'm really thankful to have had the opportunity to play Kamen Rider Nadeshiko, Misaki Nadeshiko!!
